Honeymoon Island, on Florida’s gulf coast just a little north of St. Petersburg, is one of my favorite places for late afternoon and sunset photography. On summer days, looking back east toward the mainland, you’ll likely see those magnificent thunderstorm clouds building as a result of heat rising from the land.
